This cream is so nice, actually I would say more like a gel. It goes on smoothly and is non greasy so you don’t have that slimy feel. It soothes and makes the area much more comfortable. The capsules are large but easy to swallow, I know it will take some time to show improvement.

Not too much direction between the Plus and Ultra besides the fact that the company writes that the Ultra ‘provides quick internal support’
I haven’t been taking them long enough yet to notice any results

I’m pleasantly surprised this product seems to be doing what it claims! There is significant improvement on my condition though I will need to use it for a little longer than I had hoped.
The pills are tolerable to swallow, though some minor ‘bleh’ to them.

IMHO, hemorrhoid creams containing lidocaine (which is a local anesthetic) work *much* more quickly and are far more effective than non-lidocaine creams and ointments (such as “regular” Preparation H ointment), and they are a lot less greasy.
I compared this product to two other lidocaine-based creams I have tried in the past year. The two comparison products (in my order of preference) were:
– Zihyo 5% lidocaine hemorrhoid cream, 2 oz. tube (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CTMVPTWS/; unfortunately, currently unavailable on Amazon; was $22.99 (minus $5-off coupon) when I ordered it on Amazon in April 2024)
– Bottoms Up Health 5% lidocaine hemorrhoid cream, 2 x 2 oz. containers (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0D9CG5VM1/; was $39.98 in August 2024, but is currently $59.98 on Amazon;!)
Like those two other brands, the consistency of this product is halfway between a cream and an ointment. It is a little greasier than the Zihyo and Bottoms Up, but not significantly so (and certainly nowhere near the greasiness of regular Preparation H).
As with the other lidocaine products, the skin feels a slight warming sensation within a few seconds of applying, but that fades pretty quickly, at which point so does most of the pain and itching.
Effectiveness: Despite its 5% lidocaine content, I found this product noticeably less effective than the Zihyo cream (which I would definitely order again if it becomes available again at a reasonable price of about $10/oz.), and slightly less effective than the Bottoms Up cream (which I probably would have ordered again if they hadn’t jacked up the price by 50% in the last 6 months).
As for value, the $19.99 price is reasonable ONLY IF the supplements actually work — and that’s a big IF. The supplements have interesting ingredients (which aren’t listed on the product page, so I am including a photos of the label), but I am a bit skeptical about their novel “treat-hemorrhoids-from-the-inside-out” approach. Unfortunately, the dosage directions on the “Ultra” supplement are completely inconsistent between the label on the bottle and the pamphlet that comes with the set (see photos), so there is no way to know what the proper dosage is.
I suspect the supplements will turn out to be just the latest claimed “magic remedy” which won’t have much effect; therefore, my impression is that the nicely-boxed “bundle” set is overpriced. That said, if the supplements turn out to be a miracle treatment, I will gladly update my review and rating accordingly.
For predictable and effective relief, I definitely recommend a 5% lidocaine cream; however, my advice is to shop by price. For example, a 2-pack (without the supplements) of this same brand of 5% lidocaine cream is available for the same price as this “bundle” pack (https://www.amazon.com/Lidocaine-Anorectal-Hemorrhoid-Fast-Acting-Lidocaine/dp/B0D4YCL8NR/; currently $19.95 for *two* 1 oz. tubes). $10/oz. is a reasonable price for 5% lidocaine cream; I would suggest trying just the cream to see if it works for you before delving into unproven supplements which may or may not have any positive effects.

Me and my husband both suffer but I got this for him since he is currently having issues. He used the cream and said it works pretty well to relieve some pain. He refuses to take the pills which I should have figured because he isn’t big on taking meds. But I do plan on trying them the next time I have issues because I don’t like being in pain and will try anything!

So far it seems to be effective, but I noticed that the instructions on the provided piece of paper is different than the ones on the bottle? Not sure what’s going on here, but I opted for the lesser one in terms of quantity of pills to take just to be on the safer side. Other than that, I haven’t really had any other issues so far.

The cream works great. It will take a while to see if the pills do any good. I would imagine they would have to get into your system. I am willing to give it a try as I have had difficulty in the past.
